Kid's Shows

I have noticed that they do NOT make kid's shows to be very nice to parents.

Brooklynn has a few shows that she likes to watch. One of them is Sesame Street. But not really the whole show she just likes Elmo's World. She likes Elmo. But I don't think Elmo realizes how annoying he can be. Every once in a while I will turn on Elmo's World for her to watch and then all day long I am singing the opening song to the segment in my head over and over again.

I think that's what the show creators want isn't it to drive parents crazy! Im just kidding the show isn't for parents its for kids parents just have to listen and/or watch it with their child either because the child wants you to or just because it's the only thing on and it's entertaining your child and as we all know that is a very good thing. When they are entertained they aren't getting in anything or tearing anything up.

The other show that she likes to watch (and I think is her favorite) is Blue's Clues. This show isn't so bad. I think part of the reason why it does not bother me as much as Sesame Street is because I am used to it. My brother used to love Blue's Clues and so did Sunnshyne's brother. So we are already conditioned for the show.

But Brooklynn loves Blue. She gets up in the morning and we come downstairs. She may do something else for a second but at some point she will point to TV and say "BLUE". So then we turn on an episode. I think the main problem we have is that we DVR her episodes because they don't show Blue's Clues very much anymore. So we get a lot of repeated episodes. But as I said that's ok the show isn't as annoying as Elmo.

But there is one more show that I know she is going to want to watch. But I don't know if I will be able to take it or not and that show is Dora the Explorer. Then again she may not ever be interested in Dora!
