Those Were the Good Ol' Days

Well, this was a few years ago. All the way back in August of 2009. We had just gotten married a few weeks before. We were sitting in the laundry room waiting for the clothes to get done and we wanted to do something. We had already postponed the idea of a big extravagant trip, but we wanted to do something. We had been to Cedar Point and Six Flags numerous times and we really didn't want to go there. A zoo? No, we really didn't want to go to a zoo. So we decided to go to an amusement park that we had never been to.

Michigan's Adventure!! It was a great thought. It has roller coasters and water park and is close. So we decided that night that we were going to go Michigan's Adventure the next day. So we went back home and got somethings together and went to bed. We left early the next morning.

We had a great day and a great time together. Sunnshyne got a little sunburned. OK she got a lot sunburned.  But it's a time that we will remember.

Those were the good ol' days though. Just pack up and go where ever you wanted, whenever you wanted and not have to worry about who is going to watch the kids or the pets or having to get the kids packed and ready for a trip. Just packed up a few things, threw them in the car and went. That was then and this now. Now, kids and pets are involved and you can't just go. You have to find out who is going to watch the kids and the pets. If the kids are going you have to make sure that they have all the things that they need for the trip. Then you have to pack the car. It's gets exhausting before you even get to leave.

But I can't wait for my first family trip to some where.
