I have always liked puddles.
Yesterday when it was raining like cats and dogs, there were a lot of puddles. I find myself attracted to them and I can't help but to veer over and make a big splash. So as I was driving home yesterday, splashing through some puddles along the way, I was reminded of the following story. This is FUNNY!!! (Well, at least I thought it was!)
Last spring we decided that we wanted to go to Cedar Point. It was kind of a last minute idea if I remember right. So we packed up the car with a few things and off we went.
Anyway, we couldn't have picked a better day to go!! Wrong! Sarcasm.. It was the coldest and wettest day I personally have ever spent at an amusement park. It rained off and on all day. The temperature was around 50 degrees. Cold and wet. Then when we got to finally ride some rides (mostly in the morning) it made it even colder. How is this for a wind chill.. 50 degrees outside and going 93 mph on Millennium Force!! That was cold!
So it started to rain a little bit and they shut the rides down and so we decided that we should leave the park for a bit and go down the road to McDonalds to eat, warm up and dry off. So we killed about an hour and the rain was still going. So we decided to head back to the park and see what they had open. That is when it happened.
As we were driving through Cedar Point's parking lot, I noticed that the rain had created several little collections of water. So I splashed in a few. Then I splashed one that was a little deeper than it looked and Sunnshyne had the window down. Yeah, you probably can tell where this is going. I hit the puddle and it splashed up and in the window she had cracked. It was too funny... at first. I don't know if she was really upset at me or just surprised at the whole thing. She was soaked again, well only half of her was soaked.
That is a moment in time that we revisit every now and then. We laugh. Good times!
