We Can't Stop For 5 Seconds

So this is something that has always puzzled me.

You are driving along in your car and all of a sudden traffic starts slowing down and pulling off to the side of the road. Now what do you do?? Whip out around the slow and or stopping cars and speed off until you see why everyone has stopped. A police car with his lights on.

Has the law changed?? LOL!

The above is a true story that just happened yesterday. At first I was kind of upset that it happened, but then I realized how funny it was and how the person driving that car whipped out around everyone just to almost kill themselves trying to get out of the way. I have seen this a lot in the last few months. Police cars, ambulances and fire trucks all with their lights on, siren a-blaring and horn blowin and people are just driving along not even going to get out of the way.

I mean really..  are we in that big of a hurry to get some place that we can't stop for 5 seconds to let an emergency vehicle pass??
