Well, I was refreshed on the whole thing. I have driven on before about 7 or so years ago so I had to get used to the way they drive again. They are not a car and steer totally different than a car. They steer using the back wheels not the front wheels. So that was something to get used to.Then the other difference is at the factory that I worked at we were just stacking crates of fenders on top of each other. That's easy. This time there are shelves and spaces that we put things on and you have to make sure that the skid fits in the hole you are aiming for (or making sure it doesn't hit the ceiling) and making sure the skid is stable. I didn't have to worry about that before.
So they let me drive one today to practice before I took the actual drive test. After almost knocking some things over, I think I got the hang of it. It's kind of like riding a bike, only its a forklift and you could kill some one.
